Hello to all the iUsers5 out there.

I'd like to ask a few questions which I have concerning the iPhone 5 bbrand new, using iOS 6.02
A friend has loaned me the device and whilst using it I have noticed the following issues and I wonder if this is normal?
1. When you press the home button, do you hear some sort of an audible click?
When I used the iPhone 4s this wasn't a problem. Perhaps I am being paranoid?
2. When I play zany touch, and when I have to use the pinch jesture, it takes one or two tries before it actually accepts the gesture. Is this a problem with the phone itself?
since if I go to the voice over practice to do the pinch it registers it on the first try.
3. Is there a way to have the appstore always remember my user cridentials?
4. are there parts of the screen specificly towards the edges of the screen, which are not sensitive to touch?
example:
when I typ on the keyboard, there's a little space which I can put my finger on just before the letter a or Q as an example. Should this space be there or is it the problem with the touchscreen?
sorry for this question, not sure how to put it.
5. How does one end a call reliably?
when I'm done with the call, I move the phone slightly away from my face and do a 2finger doubletap. Most of the time it does not work and if I'm lucky it works sometimes.
I hate for everyone around me to hear the last bit of the call as I try to do the 2finger doubletap which mostly does not work for me.
Note: I also seemed to have this problem on the iPhone 4s.

Sorry for the long post and thanks for answering my questions if you do have any answers.

some apps haven't been updated to take advantage of the 5's screen size so that might be what's in play for the keyboard having a little blank space at the edge. As for the app store it doesn't keep your password as a security measure, think of if someone stole your phone, they could rackup purchases in a hurry if that info was saved. I've never had trouble with the two finger double tap for finishing calls, just wait until you are done talking before you try using it if you're worried about people hearing your conversation.

Hello Rat,

thanks much for your reply.

wouldn't having a pass code be ok in terms of some security?
I mean if I have a passcode, then presumeably it would be ok for the appstore to remember the credentials?
or can the passcode be broken via advanced methods.

sorry just asking as I'm new to the world of iOS.

Regards

No security measure is entirely foolproof.

As for the two-finger double tap I've never been able to get that to work. So I ust hold the phone away from my ear once I'm done talking and wait for speaker mode to come on so VoiceOver will work and I find the End button. Either that or I just hit the power/lock button several times to end the call and be sure it's ended. And when it comes to calling automated services like my bank I use te earbuds since i need VO for the keyboard.

Get the earpods, they're great. They have a button on the cord which corresponds to the two finger double tap if pressed once, or press and hold home button if pressed and held, next music track if pressed twice, and previous music track if pressed 3 times.
Anyway that is how I prefer to use the phone, with the earpods in. But double tap with two fingers on the screen, I tend to make sure and do that on the middle of the screen. You don't want one of your fingers being on the glass outside the border of the frame, from what I can figure out.

Hello,

Thanks for all the helpful posts you guys.

I have swopped my iPhone just for good measure.

Seems I'm abit too parranoyed but what the hell.

Overall, I am really liking this phone.

I miss the customisation I had on platform x, but I would say there's alot more to gain anyways.
I wouldn't entirely ditch my other phone.
but yeah good ot have both.

Regards,
